Following the post, Diana Williams posted yet another post about what Dyshea Upshaw meant to her. She was not just a member but a family to her, and how her team in all three cities was broken. One after another, heartbreaking news had broken owner, and she posted another post about the sadness.
The brand DD4L has also officially released the news of Dyshea’s death on their Instagram handle. The post captioned, “We are still processing. Today is one of the hardest ever, my team in all cities is broken; they all talked, encountered, texted, FaceTimed traveled, and celebrated with each other; this child had an effect on all of us and left something with us all that we never forget.”
The caption continued, “These girls are not just our dancers, they are family, our kids, our students, and we are a part of us forever. Dyshea loved to dance. We have to keep going because it’s what we would’ve wanted. She would always say, ‘We Got This, Yall!’ She was not a quitter, she didn’t back down from anything, and she was outspoken.
Further, the caption continued,” she was the life of the party and just overall loved. Our dance family is just so hurt right now. Dance was in here just as it in is all of us. Fly high, momma baby. Rest Peacefully. We will hold it down while you lift us. We love you, Dyshea!”
DD4L lost its member just a couple of months ago in gunfire which made many people speculate about the gun incident, but no official news has been made.
The police department is investing, and once they find something, an official press notice will be released.
