Lauren London said she wanted to show her two sons she was getting back to normal by accepting a role in the upcoming film Without Remorse.
The 36-year-old model and actress, and love of late rap star Nipsey Hussle, spoke with Entertainment Tonight on Monday about the factors that led her to the film.

The latest: Lauren London, 36, said she wanted to show her two sons she was getting back to normal by accepting a role in the upcoming film Without Remorse
‘Michael reached out to me as a friend and he was so unsure if I was even going to ever work again,’ London told the outlet. ‘And he was like, “Look, I’m unsure if this is what you want to do, but I have to follow my intuition, I have to ask you if can you just read the script.”‘
She said that she considered her sons in deciding to appear in the motion picture, which also features Jodie Turner-Smith and Jamie Bell.
‘We can’t stop, you know?’ she said. ‘We do have a purpose, all of us, and it’s important for my sons to see me moving forward with grief, not just curling up in a ball, because I curled up in a ball for a long time.
‘But especially for my eldest son because he’s just a little more aware … but we will continue moving on as we had to, as he would want us to.’
London was snapped at the BET Awards in June of 2019 with son Kross, and Hussle’s sister Samantha Smith, daughter Emani Asghedom and mother Angelique Smith

London said she has few memories of the tumultuous time two years ago.

The Grammy-winning rapper is also survived by daughter Emani Asghedom, 12, from a previous relationship.
